MASTER TECHNIQUE, MODERN MEDIUM.
Classics with a Can is an art event where I present basic art techniques with the purpose of creating art with the medium of spray paint. This is accomplished by studying the masters and applying their painting techniques; but on a much large scale and with a not so usual medium.

CHALLENGE: Using a medium that was originally sold for the purpose of painting lawn chairs and old mail boxes and take it to a new level.

GOAL: Instruct others on how to create art with the medium of spray paint with the purpose of creating art.

SOLUTION: Taking art out of the museum galleries and bringing it to the streets. Attendants of Classics with a Can learn timeless painting techniques that can be applied to other artistic mediums — going beyond just spraying and into real art creation. This event was held at Farmingdale State College with the students from the Smart Scholars program.
